Layered Trees…..

On the last day on Arran the weather was grim, a grey and wet affair. Wind was shooting could across the sky and the cloud was incredibly low.

And I was extremely excited! I had seen an area of forest I wanted to shoot earlier in the week and needed these hazy, cloudy conditions to try and get the layering of grayscale tree that was in my head.

I specifically wanted at least three layers of pine trees, slowly fading into a grey background. This was a LOT harder that I at first thought, plus I only had 20 odd minutes before I had to get back and pack for our ferry.

So here they are - I am happy with them as first attempts and especially the black and white ones.
